Introducing - Josie Cerise
Date: 15/02/12
Lancs lass to West End Star
Born in Christchurch, New Zealand, Josie Cerise was more kiwi than Lancashire rose until the age of 8, when she moved with her family to Leyland.

Originally training as a dancer at the Lucy Collins Academy of Dancing in Eccleston, she went on to the Northern Ballet School in Manchester, before reigniting a passion for acting at Runshaw College during her A-levels and attending Mel@drama, a school run by successful actress Melanie Ash.

Graduating with the Joanna Harris Prize for outstanding achievement a First Class BA (Hons) in Performance from Northumbria University in 2009, Josie was determined to fulfill her dream of making it on stage, and was soon selected to be part of InterACT, a yearlong apprenticeship that develops the northern region’s brightest theatrical talent.

Before too long, Josie has found herself starring in the hugely successful West End production of the Gruffalo and will be seen in a soon-to-be released childrens programme, the Ha! Ha! Hairies! from the Cartoon Network, broadcast out to over a hundred million television screens world wide.

and at the Grand Theatre in Lancaster from July 9th-10th!
AND look out for The Ha! Ha! Hairies! premiering on Cartoonito on the 2nd on April 2012.
