goes off with a bhangra!
Storm clouds over Preston threatened to dampen the spirits of the city's annual South Asian cultural festival last week, and following 2 days of flood warnings, the plans for Avenham Park were put aside for another year.
HOWEVER, not to be beaten by the weather in Guild year, the organisers of Preston's loudest, perhaps most diverse festival simply moved all the fun over to the Guild Hall!
Once again, the people of Preston were treated to a mix of of music, arts and activities, including henna painting, fashion, food and dance.
Families of all shapes and sizes descended on the halls and corridors of the city landmark, with activities for all ages.
Once again, the main stage was hosted by the BBC Asian Network with quality performances from Asian artists and dancers.
Towards the end of the day, people still found the energy for a dance, including one of the key event organisers, Gulab Singh.
Customary to most Lancashire One events, Jonny and Emma were keen to get involved, and this year Emma even managed to get Jonny into some traditional South Asian attire.
