Gt Eccleston Show 18th &19th July
- Gt Eccleston
The Lancashire One team had grand ambitions for the 2012 Great Eccleston Show, with many of the team entering into the heat of competition down at the biggest agricultural event of the Lancashire calendar.
The Great Eccleston Agricultural Show is a great day was had by all! Over 40,000 people are expected to enjoyed the best two-day show in the North-West with something for everyone.
Despite best efforts, results were mixed, with Lancashire One production assistant Dolores Seaton leading the field with first Prize and the Supreme Exhibit award for her painting 'Triptych of tree, bark and branches'.
Our editor Marc Fleetwood's coffee was second at the finish, with his coffee cake coming 3rd in class, while presenter Emma Robinson's decorated wellingtons was next in line with a fourth place.
Unfortunately, bringing up the rear was producer / presenter Jonny Nelson's 'Gin Jam' concoction, much to his dismay and a protest, going unnoticed in the awards.
The show itself continued another year growing strength to stength, with glorious sunshine and thousands of enthusiastic people filling the fields for more fun.
